How To Find A Profitable Niche Market - 3 Simple Steps To Becoming A Successful Internet Marketer

Finding a product or service niche to promote in Internet Marketing is one of the most common issues and probably the biggest psychological hurdle to cross for new Internet Marketers. There are a number of ways to find your niche but I'm going to show you a very simple and inexpensive way to do it. If you tell yourself that it is hard to find a profitable niche market then it will be. So don't tell yourself that. I really mean this. Finding a good market or product to promote is literally as simple as looking at your world in a different way. Would you believe me if I said that you can be successful in just about any market no matter how many people are already promoting it or how expensive the keywords are? There are literally thousands of affiliate programs out there and it is just a matter of finding one that people are hungry for. Once you get the hang of it, you will actually have more profitable niche ideas than you have time for.

Step 1:

Go to the magazine rack of your local bookstore or supermarket and pick out three or four magazines. Start with magazines that you are interested in. Whether you believe it or not these magazines are going to make you successful. You can find many profitable niche markets and can literally create an entire Internet Marketing campaign from the information contained in the magazines you picked.

Step 2:

Buy these magazines and take them home. Sit down in your favorite chair with a pad and pen and just start reading. Pay attention to the headlines on the cover. What are they saying to grab your attention? Go to those articles and skim through them. Look at the ads. What products or services are those big companies paying thousands of dollars to advertise for? Are you starting to see where I'm headed with this? Companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars researching what people want and who will buy their product. They already know who is going to respond to their ads way before they spend a penny on the actual ad. You don't have to reinvent the wheel, just see what wheels people have already invented and repeat it. (I love metaphors.)

Just brainstorm. Don't think about keywords or how you are going to promote the product, that will come later. Just make a list of every product, service or industry that you see. Here is an example to help you understand what I'm talking about. I have my Husband's Men's Health magazine in front of me right now. I see ads for shoes, cell phones, satellite tv, HD radio, insurance, cars, computers, watches, diets, natural supplements, clothes, credit cards, golf clubs, etc. Every one of the products I've mentioned can be a profitable niche market and can make you money. There are affiliate programs for every single one. I can hear you saying "how the heck can I earn a commission from the sale of a car?" Here is the answer, you can become an affiliate for Ebay and make a percentage of the fees that Ebay earns from someone selling their car. Oh ya and here is the kicker, the same person you earned money from the sale of their car then sells their golf clubs and a rookie baseball card and guess what, you have just earned two more commissions. The possibilities for finding profitable niche markets to promote are really endless and can all come from those few magazines you bought for $20 bucks. Tell yourself right now out loud "Finding a profitable niche market is easy."

Tell yourself this over and over. Internet Marketing can be a great opportunity for anyone willing to take it seriously and do his or her research. There are many facets to creating a successful niche marketing campaign and it does take some elbow grease but it really is not rocket science. Finding a niche is the first step in making a profit. Research is the next five steps, then creating your website, finding avenues to promote your site and so on.
